The Stator installation will not run, I receive a "Not a Valid Win32' error?

This error occurs if the Stator installation file became corrupted during the download process. You will need to re-download the demo. Please use the link that was supplied after you registered for the demo.

I receive a "Automation error" when I try to open Stator?

This is normally associated to a corrupt MDAC installation on your computer. The MDAC installation is not performed by Stator as it is performed when you installed your operating system (ME, win2K, XP).

To resolve this issue you can download an MDAC repair utility which will correct any corruption which you may have on your computer. Just download and run the utility by clicking on the "Re-register MDAC" button. This repair utility can be found at:

Stator gets to "Initialising" upon startup and will not open?

Various database communication files are not installed with Stator because they should be present on your computer and installed as part of the operating system installation. In some instances, these files do not install correctly and you may find that Stator does not open correctly, instead it hangs at the status "Initialising".

If this occurs, you need to download the latest JET and MDAC components and install them onto your computer.
