STATOR LICENSING - FAQ

Do you have a question relating to the Stator licensing scheme? Please check the questions below to see if your queries have not already been addressed.

The Stator licensing scheme is designed to operate on a "one computer per license" basis, registered users can purchase additional Stator licenses for a reduced price. For further details regarding the purchase of secondary / additional licenses, please see our purchase page.

Does the Stator license enable me to install on multiple computers?

A single Stator license allows you to run a registered copy of Stator on the computer which provided the USER DATA during the license purchase process.

If you purchase a Stator license and you wish to operate Stator on additional computers please contact us via the support email and we can discuss multiple license options for you as we do offer additional licenses for a heavily reduced price.

Stator has reverted back to demo mode, what do I do?

Stator is licensed on a "per computer" basis. This means that the license we generate for you will only work to register Stator on one PC (the PC that generated the USER DATA). We understand that from time to time users may wish to upgrade computers or even purchase a new computer.

In the event that Stator reverts back to demo mode, you will need to obtain a new license. We are happy to issue you with a new license so that you can continue to use Stator. All you need to do is email us the new USER DATA.

What is the USER DATA and why is it so important?

The USER DATA is a unique combination of numbers and letters that we use to identify your computer for registration purposes. You provide this number to us during the license purchase process. [Click here to learn how to obtain your USER DATA]

The registration code (license) that we send to you enables you to unlock the fully registered version of Stator. We can only generate the registration code with your USER DATA.

Where can I find the End User License Agreement (EULA)?

The EULA is installed with Stator and you can find it in the Stator installation directory. The filename for the EULA is "license.txt".

The EULA is a very important document and you agree to all the terms of the EULA by installing Stator on your PC. You cannot install Stator onto your PC without acknowledging this document. The EULA is also acknowledged when you download updates.

Do you offer free upgrades?

Yes we do, you can obtain free upgrades by purchasing a Stator license within 30 days of downloading your demo. Upgrades are offered for all versions within the same version group, i.e. 2.## or 3.##.

Upgrading to a higher version will incur a small fee (this helps us to develop Stator with more features).

We do promise that this fee will be kept as low as possible as we would much rather our users have access to the latest functionality we have on offer.
