What is a DataSource template?
[View the DataSource template tutorial]
A DataSource template is the interface between Stator and your historical data. A DataSource template identifies the format, location and other settings which are used by Stator to read historical price data.

Opening the DataSource Manager
To open the DataSource manager;

1. From the "Tools" menu, select "DataSource Manager".
2. Select the "Templates" tab.

CODE/CURRENCY/EXCHANGE
The term CODE/CURRENCY/EXCHANGE is used to describe the elements within the Stator Data Layer that need to be connected to a DataSource.

For example, if you have three trades of BHP (ASX) in your Data Layer, it only needs to be mapped (using the DataSource template) to your historical data once.

If you select the "DataSources" tab of the DataSource Manager you will see all the CODE/CURRENCY/EXCHANGE in the Data Layer. Each of these elements needs to be mapped to historical data using a DataSource Template.
