The "Express Update" function allows you to assign finance costs to trades from a central location. It is designed to allow you to manage your finance cost obligations from a central screen.
Accessing the Finance Cost Express Update screen
1. From the "Maintenance" menu, select "Update Financing Costs".
2. Select "Express Update".
3. This will open the "Express Update" screen.
The following pictures show the finance cost express update screen.
Section 1:
This section will display all the finance cost providers which have been created in the Stator Data Layer. Stator will display the settings for each finance cost provider in this screen.
To amend the settings for a finance cost provider, simply double-click on the finance cost providers name.
Section 2:
This section allows you to adjust various settings which are used for the finance cost update. Perhaps the most important option is the "Retrospective Catchup" which allows you to update finance costs for historical dates using historical data.
Section 3:
From this section you control the flow of the finance cost express update. traditionally you would 1) calculate the finance costs then 2) apply the finance costs to your trades after reviewing them in the screen below.

The summary screen shown above will be automatically displayed after you calculate the finance costs. Stator will display all the finance costs which need applying to the Data Layer based upon the settings you provide.
Overriding Finance Costs
Stator allows you to override any calculated finance cost. To override a finance cost amount, simply double-click on the finance cost item in the screen above and an override window will appear allowing you to enter any finance cost you wish.

Applying Finance Costs
After you have reviewed the finance costs you can apply them to the Data Layer by clicking on the "Apply Finance Costs to Trades" button.
