Stator provides an automated way of calculating and updating finance costs using the "Finance Cost Express Update" function.
This tutorial explains how you can amend/override a calculated finance cost to help reconciling the finance costs to your broker statement.
You can access the finance cost express update screen by selecting the express update option from the "Maintenance" menu.

The picture above displays each parcel with the applicable finance cost result. For this tutorial we will override the finance cost for the "BHP" parcel.
Please Note:
Stator will only calculate finance costs using the express update function for those trades which are enabled for inclusion in the express update calculation.

Overriding a finance cost is as simple as selecting the trade and clicking on the "Override Finance Cost Amount" button. A small screen will open which allows you to enter the new finance cost amount.
From the Override screen, enter the new finance cost amount and click on the "Apply Change" button. Stator will amend the finance cost for the trade to the new amount, it will also indicate that the finance cost is an "override".
To save the finance costs to the Stator database, click on the "Apply Finance Costs to Trades" button.
