PLEASE NOTE, BEFORE YOU BEGIN:

Anfield Capital has an upgrade policy which may require you to purchase an upgrade license in order to operate Stator version 2.##.

1. If you purchased your first Stator license (any version) within 12 months of the release of Stator version 2.0 (22/04/2007) you can upgrade to version 2.## for FREE.

If you are eligible for the free upgrade offer refer to steps 1-7 below.

2. If you purchased your first Stator license more than 12 months before the release of version 2.0 you will be required to purchase an upgrade license before proceeding to steps 1-7 below.

3. You can only upgrade to the same version which you currently hold a Stator license for, i.e. Professional v1.6 to Professional v2.##.

4. Anfield Capital Pty Ltd will not be held liable for any loss of data during the upgrade process. Although every effort has been made to ensure that the upgrade occurs without any effect to a users portfolio data, the upgrade shall be at the risk of the user.

To protect yourself, Anfield Capital advises that you make a backup copy of the file “mod_baseData.prp” (Data Layer) and to keep this in a safe place.

STEP 1 - IMPORTANT:

** MAKE A BACKUP OF YOUR EXISTING PORTFOLIO **

Perhaps this is the most important step to the entire upgrade. It’s always better to be safe than sorry and with computers there is no point left wondering when it’s all too late.

For this reason you should make a copy of your Data Layer file, the filename for the Data Layer is "mod_baseData.prp".

This file will be located in the Stator installation folder you indicated during the installation process (i.e. c:\Program Files\Stator – AFM).

We advise that you make a copy of this file and place it into another folder (a different folder from the installation folder) as we will access this file later in the upgrade process.

STEP 2
DOWNLOAD STATOR v2.## DEMO
(Professional, Standard or Lite)

You can download the latest version of Stator from our download page [Click Here]. Please ensure that you only download and install the version of Stator for which you hold a license.

Anfield Capital will not issue you with a different license to the one you currently hold.

 

STEP 3
UNINSTALL YOUR EXISTING VERSION OF STATOR

From the ADD/REMOVE section of your operating system, uninstall your existing installation of Stator. Before you proceed with this step make sure you have a copy of your portfolio Data Layer file (mod_baseData.prp) in a safe location.

For more information regarding a backup of your existing portfolio data, please review step 1 above.

To ensure a smooth upgrade, make sure the original installation location has been deleted from your computer. If it has not been deleted by the ADD/REMOVE function please manually delete the folder and remember, have a copy of your "mod_baseData.prp" file in a safe location.

 

STEP 4
INSTALL STATOR VERSION 2.##

Install the latest version of Stator which you downloaded from step 2. Follow the instructions as prompted during the installation procedure.

STEP 5
EMAIL US YOUR USER DATA

Your version 1.## license will not work to register Stator version 2.##. You will need to obtain a new license. To obtain a new license, please email us your new USER DATA which is obtained from the Stator version 2.## demo you installed in Step 4.

Please note that we will only issue FREE version 2.## licenses to users who are eligible for a free upgrade in accordance with our upgrade policy.*

STEP 6
REGISTER STATOR VERSION 2.##

We will email you your new Stator version 2.## license. Please ensure you keep this license in a safe place as you may need it from time to time as minor updates are released.

STEP 7
RESTORE YOUR PORTFOLIO (Optional)

Copy your Data Layer file "mod_baseData.prp" file that you saved in Step 1, into the newly created Stator installation folder "Data Layer Files" folder. This step will replace the default (empty) portfolio with your portfolio data.

The next time you start Stator, it will read from your portfolio data and will also upgrade the Data Layer schema to version 2.##.

Follow the instructions and Stator will make the required upgrades and continue to open the program. We recommend that keep the copy of your portfolio (mod_baseData.prp file) before you perform this step.

Once again we urge on the side of safety, as your data is important and Anfield Capital Pty Ltd will not be held liable for any data loss.

This completes the upgrade process, to confirm the upgrade you can check the version numbers of the installed version against the version numbers provided on our registered users page
